“The 30/60 Challenge campaign is producing positive results with over $135,000 donated so far,” said Base Horner, the Foundation Treasurer. He added, “We are very proud the community has stepped forward in support of maintaining the quality of our children’s education and the tradition of excellence that Catalina Foothills residents have come to expect.”
The “30/60 Challenge” has empowered the community to take positive action to engage their family, friends, neighbors and state representatives in the need to sustain funding for public education. It was also spread beyond Arizona with donations coming from across the nation. Community businesses are now joining in support. “The community is finding solutions for big challenges,” said Lisa Turner, CFSD Foundation Member, “their generosity and caring spirit is what Southern Arizona is all about.”
